COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.(June 2, 2014) – STORServer®, a leading provider of proven data backup solutions, today announces that Katie Nielsen, channel manager, has been named to the 2014 CRN Women of the Channel. The annual list highlights the accomplishments of female executives within vendor, distribution, and solution provider organizations, and the impact they are having on the advancement of the IT channel industry as a whole.

“Katie has played a significant role in STORServer’s success by building stronger relationships with our business partners, continuing growth and increasing market share of our products,” said Bill Smoldt, president and CEO of STORServer. “She is dedicated to helping our customers and partners achieve their business goals, and we’re thrilled to see her receive this industry honor.

With two decades of experience in the channel, Nielsen has spent the past 12 years in her current role at STORServer. In the past year, her accomplishments include management of an expanded territory, which opened opportunities for additional revenue generation, strengthening ties with STORServer’s business partners and generating greater interest in the company’s product lines for end users. Nielsen capitalized on STORServer’s new data backup appliance line to create opportunities for new relationships and position the company for the future and channel partner growth.

“These female executives have risen in the ranks of their organizations and are leaving their indelible mark on the technology channel. We celebrate their many contributions and the varied ways in which they help solution providers grow and thrive every day,” said Robert Faletra, CEO of The Channel Company. “We congratulate the Women of the Channel, and look forward to their continued success.”
